Boyd to serve three-match ban

Hull City winger George Boyd will serve an immediate three-match ban after a Football Association charge against him for spitting at Joe Hart was proven. The 28-year-old spat at Manchester City goalkeeper Hart during last Saturday's Premier League match at the KC Stadium, which the visitors won 2-0. The 68th-minute incident, not seen by referee Lee Mason or his fellow officials, was caught on video. Boyd denied misconduct but his appeal was rejected by a three-man panel.
