Bresnan pushes claim for Test place

Tim Bresnan pushed his claim for a spot in the England team for the second Ashes Test against Australia with a strong showing in Brisbane. The 28-year-old, who is recovering from a stress fracture in his lower back, took 4-31 for England's Performance Programme against Queensland Second XI. England one-day coach Ashley Giles said: "Bresnan will return to the Test squad after the [Brisbane] game. "To have someone like him available would be a big bonus for England."
