Lennon sad to see Messi miss out

Celtic manager Neil Lennon says it is a shame that Barcelona striker Lionel Messi is injured for Tuesday night's meeting of the two sides. The world player of the year will miss the Champions League Group H game with a thigh injury. "It's obviously very good news for us because for me he's the best player in the world," said Lennon. "But it's also tinged with sadness as it's always good to see the best players here in Glasgow." Messi was on the losinside at Celtic Park in last season's group stage, but it will be the first time Brazilian team-mate Neymar will play against the Scottish champions.
