Pietersen out of New Zealand series

Batsman Kevin Pietersen will miss England's two-Test series against New Zealand in May with a knee injury. The 32-year-old did not play in last month's final Test against the Black Caps in Auckland because of the injury. The England and Wales Cricket Board said Pietersen will have a scan next week to determine when he can resume training.
