Frank Lampard moved to within four goals of becoming Chelsea's record scorer in securing a victory over Wigan that ended a four-match winless run and eased the pressure on Rafael Benitez. This was not a vintage Chelsea display but the result sees them leapfrog Spurs to reclaim third in the league table.
