Spurs bring forward Holtby deal

Tottenham say they have reached an agreement to bring Schalke's German international Lewis Holtby to White Hart Lane before Thursday's deadline. Midfielder Holtby had originally agreed to move to Spurs from the Bundlesliga club in July 2013 on a free transfer. However, the deal has been moved forward with Tottenham now paying a £1.5m fee for the 22-year-old.
