India seal England ODI series win
Posted by Undercover 999 on Wednesday, 23 January 2013
India took an unassailable 3-1 lead in the one-day series against England following a five-wicket win in Mohali. Alastair Cook (76), Kevin Pietersen (76) and Joe Root (57 not out) all hit half-centuries as England made 257-7. Rohit Sharma scored 83 to get India off to a good start, before Suresh Raina finished the job with an unbeaten 89. Raina had been caught at slip on 41, but umpire Steve Davis called dead ball because bowler Steven Finn's knee broke the stumps at the non-striker'snd. That problem summed up England's display in the field as their bowling attack struggled to seize the initiative from the Indian batsmen.
