Dettori set for drug test verdict

Frankie Dettori faces a ban from racing when French stewards meet on Tuesday to discuss his failed drugs test. The jockey, 41, tested positive for a banned substance at Longchamp racecourse on 16 September. He has been suspended pending a hearing by French racing authority France Galop, which intends to make a statement on Wednesday. The substance has not been disclosed, although Dettori's solicitor said it was not a performance-enhancing drug. Dettori is not expected to be present at the sciplinary hearing on Tuesday morning.
